DBA store only limited essential personal information as follows. Personal information is stored as a necessity for the purpose of annual membership (lawful basis being a contract, and our legitimate interest is to make contact to fulfill this obligation). We store name and email. Business Plans and Decks are treated as private and confidential including any personal data; not to be shared outide of DBA unless the company gives us permission. For marketing we gain consent for specific contact, emailing for events and news. As soon as any data is redundant it will be destroyed or removed. Business and supplier emails are securely stored.

If you think we have your personal data and want it removed, contact us here on our contact us page and we will do it within 48 hours.
How to Unsubscribe, Remove Your Data or Cancel
If you know you have a subscription with us, email us on our contact us page and write, “please unsubscribe” and state what the specific service, contract or arrangement you have with us is, or you believe you have with us is.
Newsletter Or Communications
Any newsletter or communications we organise will be for clearly described ie for a specific topic, for you to subscribe to. Renewal will be required at least every three years.
People who contact us via social media
We use a third party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

When you call us we do not retain any information from the calls or record them.

Email monitoring or blocking software may also be used. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send to us is within the bounds of the law.
People who make a complaint to us and enquiries
If we receive a complaint from a person we make up a file containing the details of the complaint. This will contain the identity of the complainant and any other individuals involved in the complaint. We will only use the personal information we collect to process the complaint and to check on the level of service we provide. This means that information relating to a complaint will be retained for two years from closure. It will be retained in a secure environment and access to it will be restricted according to the ‘need to know’ principle. Similarly, where enquiries are submitted to us we will only use the information supplied to us to deal with the enquiry and any subsequent issues and to check on the level of service we provide.

We offers various services to customers primarily investors and entrepreneurs, bringing them together at our business presentation pitch events. We use a third party to deal with some marketing services requests, working to clear processor contract requirements as per GDPR. When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time and are given an easy way of doing this.
